Bonesewn Fleshroc
Family: Deathroc
Type: Covenant Feature
Zone: Maldraxxus
Faction: Both
Recommended Level: Level 60
Skill Level: 2/10
The Bonesewn Fleshroc mount is obtained by combining 50 Malleable Flesh, 5 Superior Parts and 3500 anima. To do so, you will need a max rank Abominable Stitchyard. This mount can only be obtained by a member of the Necrolord covenant BUT it can be ridden by anyone.
What is an Abominable Stitchyard?
Each of the four Shadowlands covenants has a unique covenant sanctum minigame that is only accessible to members of that covenant. The Ember Court is the covenant feature exclusive to players of the Necrolord covenant. It is a profession based minigame where you create bodies for various souls you come across. Once you’ve united a soul with a new body, you can select them to be your companion and follow you around the Shadowlands. Each construct has unique perks to assist you and you can even dress them up!
How to unlock the Abominable Stitchyard
To unlock Abominable Stitching, head inside the Seat of the Primus in Maldraxxus. You will need to speak to Arkadia Moa in the main hall on the left side near the Renown Quartermaster. She is in charge of any Sanctum Upgrades you’d like to do.
You will need to upgrade your Abominable Stitchyard to level 5 to gain the ability to craft the Bonesewn Fleshroc.
Upgrading to 5 will cost you 44,000 anima and 150 Redeemed Souls in total. It’ll also take a total of 85 hours of research time. Below, I’ll go over how you can get Redeemed Souls and anima to upgrade your Abominable Stitchyard.
How to get Redeemed Souls
Redeemed Souls are infinitely farmable. To get them, speak to Osbourne Black the Soul Warden, found in the main hall on the right hand side. He is nearly across from the Sanctum Upgrade NPC.
Pick up the quest Return Lost Souls from him. To complete the quest, you’ll need to head to the Maw via jumping into the pillar at the top of Oribos. When in the Maw, look for Imprisoned, Caged, Wailing or Aimless Soul mobs.
They will count toward your total of 20. Once you’ve collected 20, you’ll need to head back and turn your quest in. You can then do the quest again for another 20 souls.
How to get anima
Anima is a very important currency in Shadowlands and as such, it can come from most activities.
The fastest way to get a good chunk of anima is by doing all three Shadowlands world bosses, provided you’ve unlocked Korthia and Zereth Mortis. The first world boss rotates between the main zones of Maldraxxus, Ardenweald, Revendreth and Bastion. The second, Mor’geth, is always available in the Desmotaeron section of the Maw. Lastly, the world boss Antos is always available. in Zereth Mortis. Doing all three will net you a total of 1500 anima. Note that you get the anima from the world quest specifically, so if you don’t see the world quest, you won’t get any for killing the boss.
Raids are also great for anima! Bosses have a very high chance to drop anima. I’d say you should get at least 500 per raid but very likely more. You’ll also have chances at some of the raid mounts like Sanctum Gloomcharger and of course, transmog! The only downside is that most difficulties need a group at the time of writing (Dragonflight season 4). However, you are able to solo queue LFR by speaking to the broker Ta’elfar in The Enclave in the main floor of Oribos.
If you’re looking for something more frequent to grind, I’d suggest farming Zereth Mortis rares. They have a very high chance to drop anima and they usually drop a good amount too. Treasures are pretty decent too. Korthia in general is another great place to farm anima as well– from the rares, dailies and treasures. Lastly, you could always fly around doing the anima world quests on your map! Shadowlands world quests change daily so there will regularly be new ones up.
Lastly, you are able to move anima between your characters with the Traveler’s Anima Cache. It is purchased from the broker Au’Dara on the top floor of Oribos, next to the flight master.
You can only move 1000 anima at a time though. It’s a bit tedious, but it means you can farm anima on your alts freely.
Now that we’ve touched on how to max out your Abominable Stitchyard, let’s go over how to craft your Bonesewn Fleshroc. You may want to start this process BEFORE you have max Stitchyard. This is because Superior Parts are a bit harder to get.
How to get Superior Parts
As mentioned, Superior Parts are more difficult to obtain. They are generally locked behind weekly quests you get from your construct companions at the Stitchyard. Most of these quests are centered around Maldraxxus but you may have to take a trip to other places in the Shadowlands occasionally. The more souls you create homes for, the more quests you’ll be able to do weekly.
In my opinion, it’s worth it to work on making other constructs before the mount so you can increase your Superior Parts gain. This is especially the case if you plan on working on other Abomination Factory mounts such as the Chosen Tauralus and Armored Chosen Tauralus.
The only other way of obtaining Superior Parts is from missions at your covenant adventure table. This table requires 500 anima and 1 Redeemed Soul to unlock. It can be unlocked at Arkadia Moa, like the Abominable Stitchyard.
Additionally, you will need to do the “adventure campaign” missions at the table until you reach level 8 in order to see Superior Parts missions.
Additionally, covenant missions reset when switching your covenant. So if you switch off of Necrolord and then back on, your mission table will reset and randomize the missions. I would suggest you keep doing this until you get 2-3 missions with Superior Parts as the reward.
How to get Malleable Flesh
Malleable Flesh is relatively easy to obtain. It has a chance to drop off of most mobs in the Shadowlands. You can also get Flesh from the Salvaged Supplies box that you’ll obtain for doing the weekly quests with your constructs.
It’s also possible, though more rare, to get them from Necrolord callings via the Tribute of the Duty-Bound and War Chest of the Undying Army boxes as well.
Best way to farm Malleable Flesh
The best way to farm Malleable Flesh is by clearing the trash in the Halls of Atonement dungeon on Normal difficulty repeatedly. This dungeon is found in the eastern section of Revendreth.
What you’re going to want to do is clear all the trash leading up to Halkias, then Halkias, then all the trash after. You don’t want to kill Echelon or the rest of dungeon as it is much less effective.
After you’ve killed all the mobs in the circled area, turn back around and leave the instance. You can then reset it by right clicking your portrait and selecting the “Reset all instances” option under Instance Options.
Keep doing this until you reach your desired amount of Malleable Flesh!
Crafting the mount
Assuming you have collected the 50 Malleable Flesh, 5 Superior Parts and 3500 anima required, you can now craft the Bonesewn Fleshroc! To do so, head to your Abominable Stitching Table to the east of the Seat of the Primus.
Click to interact with the Table and search up “Bonesewn Fleshroc”. Once you’ve found it, you can click ‘create’ in the bottom right of the window to make it. Congrats on your new mount!
