Guide
The Mechagon Peacekeeper mount drops from the 4th boss of Mythic Operation: Mechagon dungeon. The drop rate from HK-8 Aerial Oppression Unit is around 0.5%
1) Operation: Mechagon dungeon is located on the Mechagon island. You don’t have to unlock the zone in order to enter the dungeon – you can just fly from the northern part of Drustvar through fatigue or be summoned there. The mount can only be obtained on a mythic difficulty and attempted once per week.
2) To activate the 4th boss you have to kill the first three bosses. Until all three are dead, HK-8 unit will be flying over one of them, changing its position each time another boss is dead. Its moving pattern is not random and will change every week.
HK-8 units adds extra mechanics to an area it is hovering over which might seriously hurt even a lower geared lvl 60 character, so they are best be avoided. Check your map to see which area is being patrolled.
In this case HK-8 unit is over King Gobbamak, so we start elsewhere.
3) To activate Gunker you will need to kill 3 huge slimes found in its room as shown on the picture to free water bots trapped inside them. Stay inside the water bots during his fight to avoid being stunned to death and wasting a lot of time.
4) Fight with the HK-8 Unit consists of 3 phases. During the intermission, right after you kill the first add, you need to ascend up the stairs either on the right or the left part of the room, go through the maze avoiding all lasers and mini-bots and hack the console by interacting with it. The console you need to hack will be lit.
Once its energy is drained, return to the middle of the room and kill the boss.
Extra tips: Make one alt a lockout sharer – clear 3 first bosses with it and keep the lock out. Your lockout sharer invites your alt, your alt enters the dungeon while lockout sharer has lead – and goes straight to the final boss.
Don’t forget to extend the lockout every new week through ‘/raidinfo’!
