Guide
The Scrappy Worldsnail mount is purchased from Dealer Vexil in the Waking Shores for 1000 Magmotes.
Prerequisites
To begin working toward this mount, you will first have to complete a small questline in the Waking Shores. The first two quests are A Cultist’s Misgivings and Punching Up, started by speaking to the baby black drakonid Ingot at the following coordinates.
The third quest is Under Lock and Key which is given by the red dragonspawn Ayasanth that Ingot had asked you to locate during the second quest. Once you’ve freed Ayasanth, they will then give you the last quest The Shadow of His Wings. The mob you’re to kill has a lot of health and can be difficult if you’re undergeared. Lastly, if you go into the cave too early, it can bug out and Ayasanth won’t be there following you, meaning you can’t confront Cygenoth. If this happens, run up to the entrance of the cave and Aysanth will respawn and then you can walk down and confront Cygenoth. After the questline is done, you’re ready to become a Worldbreaker!
How to Become a Worldbreaker
To become a Worldbreaker, you must obtain a Worldbreaker Membership. To do so for the first time, you will need to turn in Restored Obsidian Keys.
Restored Obsidian Keys are made by combining two parts– 30 Key Fragments and 3 Key Framings. These items have a chance to drop off of enemies in the Obsidian Citadel area after picking either Wrathion or Sabellian for the Allegiance to One weekly world quest. You will then need to complete the Keys of Loyalty world quest as well. If you can’t see world quests on your Dragon Isles map, you will need to complete the 10.0 main campaign questline.
One of the best places to farm Keys is in the basement of the Obsidian Citadel area, as there is a nice density of mobs down there and they respawn fairly fast. This farm is best done in a group so make sure to check custom groupfinder for an existing “Key Farm” group or maybe start your own! The inner courtyard is not a bad place to farm either.
Once you have your first key, turn it in to Igys the Believer at the following location. If you are not able to talk to her, be sure that you have finished your weekly quest mentioned above. After that quest is complete, Igys should get a blue question mark above her head.
Igys will give you a Twilight Cache in return, which has a ~35% chance to contain a Worldbreaker Membership.
IMPORTANT: Upon using the Membership item, you will be granted the temporary title Worldbreaker as well as the buff Worldbreaker Membership which lasts TWO DAYS. You will LOSE these if you DIE for any reason. If that happens, you will have to earn a new Membership.
To combat the above, I would strongly suggest buying another Worldbreaker Membership from Dealer Vexil for 20 Magmotes once you have used the first one. You can only have one Membership in your inventory at a time. Even if you think you won’t die, it’s better to be safe than sorry!
How to Earn Magmotes
Magmotes can be farmed in three different ways. The main way is by killing mobs around the Obsidian Citadel area. Enemies will drop 0-3 Magmotes each. A good place to farm mobs is in the basement as mentioned for the key farm above. If you’re worried about dying or are solo, it may be better to farm Lava Hatchlings around the coordinates /way #2022 32 55 at the top of the hill. There’s an empty area there where you can fight them without pulling anything else. There are 4-5 perched nearby, and another 4 or so that fly overhead.
Another farm location that isn’t very dangerous is at /way #2022 24.7 61.2 on the level above the Stoker Volrax and Forgemaster Bazentus. In the small cave nearby, there are Enraged Embers that drop a good chunk of Magmotes per group spawn. They all have low health and respawn fairly quickly. Again, the courtyard is always a fine option too!
You will also obtain 3-6 Magmotes with every extra Restored Obsidian Key turned in to Igys the Believer. However, you may want to save these Keys if you were planning on working on Sabellian/Wrathion reputation and potentially the Loyal Magmammoth mount.
Lastly, you can get 25 Magmotes from the Same as the Old Boss weekly. It can be given by three different NPCs- Aizir the Inflamed, Doventhal the Chosen and Vyzos the Prophet but the location to pick it up is always the same. Additionally, this quest is only offered while you’re a Worldbreaker.
It may be worth it to group up for this farm as well because it’ll make it much faster. The farm should take about 2-4 hours in total. Once you’ve hit 1000 Magmotes, head over to Dealer Vexil and trade them in for your Scrappy Worldsnail. Dealer Vexil is found inside a cave in the Smoldering Perch at the coordinates below.
