Guide
The Mummified Raptor Skull mount drops from The First King on roughly a 0.5% drop rate but only on Mythic or M+ difficulty.
To reach the dungeon entrance horde will simply need to use the Dazar’alor portal in Orgrimmar then make their way to Atal’dazar. Similarly for the Alliance they will need to use the portal in Stormwind to teleport to Boralus. Once there visit the boat and sail to Zuldazar if you haven’t completed the campaign start it from the NPC Commander Wyrmbane then make your way to Atal’dazar.
To Obtain the mount ’ll have to make your way through the dungeon. Follow my provided route and you’ll reach the first bosses room.
To activate the trash you’ll need to hit the gong at the back of the room, once dealt with The golden Serpent will spawn.
The first boss has a few basic mechanics, first a player will be targeted by Spit Gold, a high damage dot and once it expires it’ll leave Molten Gold on the ground, a pool. Make sure to keep these away from the boss. Next the boss will cast Serpentine Gust, a large AoE around it and finally it will spawn mobs out of the pools via Lucre’s Call if those hit the boss it will gain a large shield. Kill the ads before this happens.
The Second boss is Mchimba the Embalmer, he will cast Burning Ground which spawns large pools of fire. He will also cast Drain Fluids, a channeled spell on a player doing damage and lowering their damage. Finally he will trap players in tombs, click on these to release the player.
The third boss is The Council of Tribes; this encounter will have 3 bosses. Aka’ali the Conqueror applies Debilitating Backhand, a debuff to the tank and knocks them away, the boss should be kited during this. Secondly he will charge a player with Barrel Through, the damage is split between the people hit by it.
Kula the Butcher targets a random player and applies Severing Axe a painful dot. Her second ability throws lots of Whirling Axes on the floor which should be dodged. Zanazal the Wise spawns 4 totems with the ability Call of The Elements around the room which need to be killed, most importantly the Explosive Totem. Secondly he will cast Poison nova an aoe which can be interrupted. Throughout the fight as the bosses die the dead ones will occasionally still use their spells.
Dazar, The First King deals high tank damage with Blade Combo and charges a random player with Quaking Leap, dealing damage based on proximity to the charged player. Throughout the fight the boss will also cast Gale Slash, a tornado that can be dodged. In the second phase he will mount up on a raptor and spawn a raptor. The raptor ad will leap to a player and deal frontal cone damage and the mounted boss will gain an AoE fear. In the final phase spears will fall from the ceiling which should be dodged by running through them at the right time.
Once the boss is dead a chest will spawn and GL!
Extra Tips
As this is a Mythic dungeon, you can only complete Mythic difficulty once per week, so run it on multiple characters each week for an additional chance. Alternatively Mythic+ can be repeated as much as you want and you will still have a chance at the mount, however Mythic+ will be removed in Shadowlands
