Guide
The Yu’lei, Daughter of Jade mount can be purchased from Mistweaver Xia on the Timeless Isle for 5000 Timewarped Badges. This mount can only be purchased during the Mists of Pandaria Timewalking event. Additionally, you will need to be level 35+ to be able to view Mistweaver Xia’s items for sale.
To get to Timeless Isle, enter the Jade Forest portal in either the Stormwind or Orgrimmar portal room. Head to the very southeast of the Jade Forest and keep flying until you reach the small island called Timeless Isle. There will be a fatigue bar when travelling across the ocean between the two points but it shouldn’t kill you.
Timewalking Info
Timewalking is an event where you can use group finder to queue for the featured expansion’s dungeons appropriately scaled to your level. It is usually available once every three weeks unless there is a special Timewalking related event up (such as Twisted Timeways). It usually follows the order of expansion release as well. You can check your in-game calendar to see when it’ll be up next for you. There are certain level requirements for being able to queue for Timewalking which depends on the expansion that’s active, as shown below.
Expansion | Minimum Required Level |
The Burning Crusade | 30 |
Wrath of the Lich King | 30 |
Cataclysm | 35 |
Mists of Pandaria | 35 |
Warlords of Draenor | 40 |
Legion | 45 |
How to Earn Timewarped Badges
Timewarped Badges are mainly earned by killing dungeon bosses during the Timewalking event. Each boss will award 5 Timewarped Badges. You can infinitely queue for dungeons and earn Badges during the event. I would suggest a tank or healer character for the fastest possible queue times!
The first time you complete a dungeon during the event, you will also receive a quest item from the last boss that you can turn in for 500 Timewarped Badges, e.g. Shrouded Timewarped Coin. If you’re after a less intensive way to farm for this mount, I would suggest doing 1 dungeon per Timewalking event. In 7 months, you’ll have your mount with little effort! If you happen to have 6 alts, you can use this method on each to have enough for every Timewalking mount at the 7 month mark, then you’ll simply just have to wait for each expansion to come up and buy the associated mount(s). More info on each of those is found at the bottom of this article.
In addition, if the featured expansion is The Burning Crusade, Wrath of the Lich King or Cataclysm, you will be able to timewalk a raid as well. The options are The Black Temple for TBC, Ulduar for WoTLK and Firelands for Cata. You will have to look in the legacy raid section of group finder to find a group for this.
There is a related quest for each that starts with “Disturbance Detected” e.g. Disturbance Detected: Black Temple. Make sure to pick this up! It can usually be found near the Timewalking vendor.
The Disturbance Detected quest requires you to kill the last boss of the raid. There are often skip groups in group finder for the last boss specifically if you do not want to complete the whole raid.
Similar to the dungeons, you will loot an item to turn in for 500 Timewalking Badges after killing the last boss. Note that this item will NOT be delivered to your mail if you forget to loot it, which then will make you unable to turn in the quest for your Badges. In Black Temple & Firelands, the item comes from the place normal loot does. However, on Ulduar, it is looted off of Yogg-Sauron’s body instead of the chest where the rest of the loot comes from. Lastly, you have a chance to loot an expansion related raid mount from reward chest from the Disturbance Detected quest. For example: if it’s WoTLK week, you could possibly loot Invincible!
Other Timewalking Mounts
In case you were wondering, most of the Timewalking expansions have their own vendor mount; it’s not just Mists of Pandaria. We have guides for each of them here at True Endgame!
During the TBC week, the Eclipse Dragonhawk is available to buy.
When it’s WoTLK week, you can purchase the Ironbound Wraithcharger.
Unfortunately, Cataclysm is the only one that does not currently have a Timewalking vendor mount.
During WoD, there are two: Beastlord’s Irontusk and Beastlord’s Warwolf.
Finally, Legion’s mount is the Val’sharah Hippogryph.
